Description
These bone-in, skin-on leg quarters include both the thigh and drumstick — connected, just like they come off the bird. They’re from chickens raised outdoors on pasture and rotated daily to fresh grass in open-bottomed mobile shelters.
We never use antibiotics, confinement barns, or bleach dips after processing. What you get is a real cut of chicken with firm texture, full flavor, and skin that crisps when grilled or roasted.
Raised on our farm in Greenfield, Indiana and frozen fresh after local processing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is a leg quarter?
It’s the thigh and drumstick connected — bone-in and skin-on. Ideal for grilling, roasting, or smoking.
Q: Are these raw or pre-cooked?
Raw. We vacuum-seal and freeze them right after processing. No seasoning, no additives.
Q: Are the chickens raised indoors at all?
Only during the brooder stage for the first 2–3 weeks. After that, they live outdoors full-time and are moved daily to new pasture.
Q: Are they packaged individually?
They are sealed in small portions — typically 2 per pack — and frozen.
