Our Practices

Regenerative Farming

We believe healthy food starts with healthy soil. That’s why everything we do at Tyner Pond Farm begins with regenerative farming.

Regenerative agriculture means working with nature—not against it—to build soil, improve water retention, increase biodiversity, and create healthier food.

Our practices include:

  • to give pastures time to recover and regrow

  • so chickens fertilize and aerate the soil while foraging naturally

  • —our animals live outside and move frequently

  • that share our values

The result is better land, healthier animals, and more nutrient-dense food for your family—without industrial shortcuts.

Our Commitment to Livestock

We raise every animal with respect, in ways that let them live naturally and stay healthy:

  • – 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, moved to fresh pasture daily using regenerative grazing methods inspired by mentors like Allan Savory and Joel Salatin.

  • – Raised on pasture with constant access to grass, insects, and fresh air year-round.

  • – Raised on pasture and in woodlands where they can root, wallow, sunbathe, and express their natural “piggishness.”

We work with a small, local abattoir only 15 minutes from our farm. Keeping processing close to home minimizes transport time and stress. Because our animals are handled by friendly people every day, they’re calm around humans—even in new situations.

Our goal is simple: raise animals in a way that’s better for them, better for the land, and better for the people who eat the food.
