Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to work with a processor?
No. We handle everything — processing, packaging, and delivery. You don’t have to make phone calls, pay extra fees, or pick anything up.
Is processing included in the price?
Yes. All of our bulk beef and pork bundle prices include processing, labeling, vacuum sealing, and freezing.
Is delivery free?
Yes. We offer free home delivery across our Indiana service area.
Is your beef grassfed and grass-finished?
Yes. Our cattle are 100% grassfed and grass-finished — no grain, ever.
Do you use vaccines or antibiotics?
No. Our beef is raised without vaccines or antibiotics.
How much freezer space do I need?
-
1/8 beef: ~2 cubic feet
-
1/4 beef: ~4–5 cubic feet
- 1/2 beef: ~8–10 cubic feet
A chest freezer or a dedicated shelf in a stand-up freezer usually works.
How much beef do I get in a bundle?
-
⅛ Beef: ~50 lbs packaged
-
¼ Beef: ~100 lbs packaged
- ½ Beef: ~200 lbs packaged
Do you charge by hanging weight?
No. Many farms use “hanging weight” pricing, which can be confusing because it’s the weight of the carcass before trimming and packaging. That means you pay for weight you never take home — and often an extra processing bill on top. At Tyner Pond, we only charge for the actual packaged beef you receive. All processing is included, and delivery is free.
How is the meat packaged?
Everything is vacuum-sealed, clearly labeled, and frozen.
