Understanding Your Shipment: Meat Safety and Quality at Tyner Pond Farm

Hello, Tyner Pond Farm Community!

As we embark on an exciting new chapter with our meat shipping program, we want to ensure that you have all the information you need for the best experience with our products. A key aspect of receiving shipped meat is understanding what to expect when your package arrives, particularly regarding the state of the meat - whether it's fully frozen, partially thawed, or even fully thawed.

Safety and Quality First

Our top priority is to deliver high-quality, safe meat products directly to your doorstep. We meticulously pack our meats to maintain their temperature during transit. However, variations in shipping distances, weather conditions, and transit times can sometimes result in your meat arriving partially or fully thawed.

Here's What You Need to Know:

Cool to the Touch: If your meat is still cool to the touch upon arrival, akin to the temperature of refrigerated meat (about 40°F or below), it remains safe to consume. Refreezing: Meat that is cool to the touch can also be safely refrozen without any compromise to its quality or safety. Our grassfed meats retain their integrity and delicious flavor, even after refreezing. Quality Assurance: Even though the meat might arrive thawed, it doesn't mean there's any reduction in its quality. Our processing and packaging methods are designed to preserve the freshness and taste of our products.

Why This Happens?

Shipping frozen meat can be a complex process. While we strive to keep the meats frozen until they reach you, external factors can lead to partial thawing. This doesn't mean the product is spoiled. The safety of the meat is dependent on its temperature upon arrival, not its state (frozen or thawed).

Our Commitment

At Tyner Pond Farm, we are committed to providing you with the best products and experience. We welcome any questions or concerns you might have about your shipment. Our team is here to ensure that you feel confident and satisfied with every purchase. Thank you for choosing Tyner Pond Farm and for your trust in our commitment to quality, safety, and regenerative farming. Unfortunately, we can't be responsible for things out of our control, so we are not able to refund based on Fedx failures.
