Farm to Door: How Our Free Local Delivery Works
When people think of "meat delivery," they usually picture a cardboard box filled with styrofoam peanuts and dry ice, dropped off by a UPS driver who doesn't know what's inside.
That isn't how we do things at Tyner Pond Farm.
We believe that a local food system should actually remain local. That is why we built our own delivery network from the ground up to serve families in Indianapolis, Carmel, Greenwood, Avon, and the entire Central Indiana area.
Here is exactly how our home delivery works and why it matters.
1. You Order, We Pack
The process starts on our website. You can shop for exactly what you want—whether that’s a few Ribeyes for the weekend, a bulk share of Ground Beef, or pastured chicken.
-
No Subscriptions Required: Unlike national meal kits, we don’t force you into a subscription. You order what you want, when you want it.
-
Packed by Farmers: Your order isn't packed in a massive warehouse. It is packed by our team right here in Hancock County. We check every cut to ensure it meets our standards before it goes into the bag.

2. We Deliver (Not FedEx)
This is the biggest difference between Tyner Pond and the "big guys." We handle our own delivery logistics, and the person dropping off your food is a Tyner Pond employee—not a gig worker or a third-party courier.
By handling the "last mile" ourselves, we ensure your food stays at the proper temperature from our freezer to your doorstep. But it is also about people.
We believe it is important that our farm contributes to the community at every level. That is why our drivers are real employees who earn a living wage and receive full health insurance. When you see us pull up to your house, you know that the person delivering your food is being treated with the same respect we try to bring to every part of our business.
3. Convenience for Busy Families
We know you are busy. You do not need to be home to accept delivery.
-
Porch Drop-Off: If you aren't home, we leave your order right at your door.
-
Insulated Bags: Many customers leave a cooler out for us, but if you forget, don't worry. We pack orders in insulated liners that keep the meat frozen for hours until you get home from work or picking up the kids.
Why "Local" Matters
Supporting a local delivery system does more than just save you a trip to the grocery store. It strengthens the local economy.
When you buy from Tyner Pond, your dollar stays here in Indiana. It supports the farm, the local butchers we partner with, and the employees who live in our communities. It’s a system grounded in practice, not theory. It’s simple, it’s fair, and it gets the healthiest food possible onto your table.
