A filet should not have to be oversized to make a proper meal.
Our Filet Mignon is available in two portion sizes. The new 5-ounce filet is intended for smaller appetites, while the 7-ounce filet provides a more traditional individual steak.
The 5-ounce portion contains an estimated 30 grams of protein. The 7-ounce portion contains an estimated 42 grams of protein. Each package contains one steak, making it easier to choose the amount that fits the meal you are planning.
For people using GLP-1 medications, a reduced appetite can make a large steak difficult to finish. The 5-ounce option provides meaningful protein in a smaller portion without relying on shakes, bars or highly processed diet food.
The 7-ounce filet remains a sensible choice for customers who want a little more while still avoiding the oversized portions commonly served in restaurants.
Both sizes come from cattle raised by Tyner Pond Farm on pasture in central Indiana. Our beef is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, with no grain, antibiotics or added hormones.
Nothing is injected, marinated or added. It is simply beef from a known source.

How to cook filet mignon
Thaw the filet in the refrigerator and pat it dry. Season with salt before cooking.
Sear it in a hot skillet with butter, ghee or beef tallow. After browning both sides, reduce the heat and continue cooking until it reaches your preferred internal temperature.
The 5-ounce filet will generally cook more quickly than the 7-ounce filet. A meat thermometer is the most dependable way to avoid overcooking either size.
Allow the steak to rest for about five minutes before serving.
Q: How much protein is in a filet mignon?
