Think Your Meat is Antibiotic-Free? New Findings Suggest Otherwise

A recent article from Progressive Farmer has exposed a troubling issue in the meat industry: 20% of samples labeled as “raised without antibiotics” were found to contain antibiotics. This is a betrayal to anyone who believes they are purchasing truly antibiotic-free meat. (If you want to know more about why you don't want to eat meat thats been treated with antibiotics, click here ) At Tyner Pond Farm, we understand how frustrating and confusing these misleading labels can be. That’s why we’ve chosen a path that ensures absolute transparency: certification by the American Grassfed Association (AGA). Unlike some of the more ambiguous claims you’ll find in the market, AGA certification is rigorous and specific. It demands that animals are never treated with antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones, from birth through harvest.
This isn’t the easy or cheap route—it’s the right one. We know our customers care deeply about what they feed their families, and they deserve to know that what’s on their plate is exactly what they paid for: 100% grass-fed beef with no hidden surprises.
The discovery that a significant portion of supposedly “antibiotic-free” meat still contains antibiotics is a clear reminder of the importance of trustworthy verification. At Tyner Pond Farm, we take this responsibility seriously. Our commitment to transparency and integrity is why we pursued AGA certification, and why we continue to adhere to its strict standards. In a marketplace flooded with confusing claims and misleading labels, we want to be the farm you can trust. We encourage you to learn more about our practices and the American Grassfed Association certification. When you choose Tyner Pond Farm, you’re choosing beef that is truly antibiotic-free—guaranteed.
